Common Questions About the Process

What will my session be like?

At your session I try to keep a relaxed but excited approach. Honestly I'm still young and childish at heart so you'll hear a lot of "booby" or "booty cheeks". I'll ask you to put on some of your fav tunes and we'll go through a selection of poses I'll have prepared for the session. Most of the time I'm modeling the exact poses for you so you can really capture the essence. It often helps that I manage to trip over my words like a part time job so I say a lot of dumb things along the way making us both giggle. I want you to be as comfortable as possible. I'll always keep you aware on how the photos are turning out and make changes based on your thoughts.

When and where should I book?

Honestly.... There is no set rules for what time of year you need to book your session! I tend to host boudoir extravaganza days twice a year so feel free to reach out and ask when my next extravaganza is planned for (usually early winter and late summer). For proper lighting, boudoir sessions usually wrap up an hour before sunset. As for location, this page is hopefully going to help you narrow down the vibes you would like for your session. I'm providing some options below, when you are ready, you should reply via my email as to what spoke to you and what didn't (&include your budget!).

What is your editing style & how many images will I receive?

My style of photography is strictly true to life in natural lighting with a bit of flash upon request. All photos are edited in color (true to life with a little color pop!) with additional copies sent in black and white. For each package you receive a specific allotted amount of photos. As you can imagine, we might shoot over that amount. You can decide if you want to receive them on our post session call for $10/photo.

How do you pick out the photos?

With you!! Like all my sessions, I let clients pick out the photos to be edited. This way you know you are getting the photos you want and I'm not wasting time editing a photo you'll never let see the light of day. After your session I will go home prepare for our call, this can take a couple days as I remove the ones we wont care for and the ones I think you'll like. When I'm ready I'll reach out to book a google meet call where we select the remaining photos to be edited. Sounds scary but it's actually rather simple especially with my help.

What is your turnaround time?

For boudoir sessions you can typically expect photos pretty quickly (within a month or so). On our post session zoom call you can request sneak peeks for $10/photo.

Where are you based?

I know I seem a bit confusing sorry lol. I live in Upstate NY but I travel to Central MA often for family and photography gigs. This is why I can offer a wide range of coverage. On the days I'm scheduled to be in the area you are able to save money on the travel fee costs. If I'm not already planning to be in the area, I always can start planning to so please don't hesitate to reach out.

Do you have to post or share my photos?

Absolutely not! Actually a lot clients request this and I totally understand everyone has their limits. Here are the common options clients usually go for: (1) Permission to post and market as I see fit (2) Permission to post and market a select group of photos picked out by the client (3) Permission to post and market without tagging the client. (4) Permission to post and market any photos without the client's face or tattoos. (4) Permission to only share with clients who have booked a session with me and are looking for inspiration (5) No permission to share or market anything!

Do you supply outfits or props?

I like to keep business costs down to keep your session more affordable so unfortunately this means I don't offer outfits or props. Honestly, there are plenty of affordable options online and really everyone prefers something different so it's hard for me to tell you what you might like. All I can recommend is that you get something you feel hot in! As for props, go with an item or clothing item that means something to you! Is it a special wine you love to sip while reading your favorite smutty book? Take out the heels you've always loved but don't wear nearly enough ! Are you getting married? Bring a veil or bonus points your dress for your future hubby or wifey to appreciate ;)

Should I get my hair & makeup done?

Completely up to you! Do what feels natural for you or go all out and hire a hair and makeup service. I have two vendors to recommend if you want as well. Something I don't recommend is trying something crazy different just before the session, that goes for haircuts too. Feel free to get the nails done too while you are out, the toes might make an appearance if you'll let me! If you are a bride, I recommend doing your hair and makeup trial before our session so you can knock out two birds with one stone!

Can I bring a friend?

Totally! You can bring someone for emotional support or book a session with said friend or family. You both can shoot at the same time, taking turns with poses OR one person goes first and the other goes next. If you love the idea of saving money by booking the same date but dont want to see each other at the session that's totally fine too!

My Favorite Locations

Oxford, MA

This place is a great affordable option with a smaller rental fee and local to my Massachusetts home base so travel fee is minimal. This studio provides the most gorgeous natural lighting we can ask for. The white walls lined in windows create that light and airy feel. There is a couch and a full size mirror to play with as well. If you are feeling crazy there is also a pull down white or black paper to use for a more simple style.

Haverhill, MA

The studio is great if you want to really play with the shadows that's peeking in from one side. The windows sit on an elevated ledge reaching all the way to the ceiling, perfect for a silhouette shot. There's a couch, a few mirrors, brick walls, grey messy wall, bed and a couple smaller chairs. This is more expensive so if you are on a budget I definitely recommend booking this place the same day as another client. That client be your friend or another one of my clients.

Alternative Options

Nature? Hotels? Other Studios? Your Home?

Listen, I'm down to do anything! The two studios I've listed are just my go-to's. I'm MORE than happy to expand and shoot at other studios, once you provide me with a budget, vibes preference, and travel distance I can give you options for us to consider.

If you are thinking of shooting in your own home I HIGHLY recommend show me your home first to make sure it isnt something too limiting. Your room should have plenty of natural light. Beds, couches, chairs and mirrors are great "props". Clean walls or minimalistic decor is perfect for a less distracting background. If this is the route you want to take please provide me with your address so I can give you a travel fee quote.

Same thing goes for hotels, Airbnb's and VRBO'S, I'm happy to shoot there but they can be dark and yucky sometimes. You don't want to look back at these photos and see that amazingly oversized A/C & heating unit in the hotel window or the atrocious yellow headboard your host thought looked great. The bonus though, is that after we are done shooting you are free to relax there ! Invite friends over, take the night to yourself or invite your s/o.

Outdoor sessions are a totally different ball game but great if you want to be *one with nature*. Depending on where we end up, we run the risqué of peering eyes (who will probably be horrified and walk the other direction because who would possibly want to walk in on a boudoir session lol).  Maybe consider bringing a friend to play guard dog for us. With that said, there are plenty of more secluded parks and areas of parks to choose from or we can work with private property owners to find the best place that speaks to you.

P.S. If you would be interested in booking a session outside in mother nature, then I'd love to offer you a discount if I can use your photos for marketing :)
